My family & I had to face a fairly stressful weekend in Hampshire this March and happened upon Lee Manor as a place to stay.  Having found the right road – we didn’t pay enough attention to the directions! – we arrived with no great expectations but were immediately entranced by the beauty of the house.  Deb greeted us so warmly and we were settled in with tea and delicious homemade cake in a lovely, elegant sitting room with an open fire, vast sofas to swallow you up, books, games and welcoming conversation.

Our bedrooms were of an extraordinarily high standard, beautiful furnishings, amazing quality bedding,  delicious biscuits made by Deb and a decanter of Port, not forgetting the lovely bathrooms with goodies.  The setting is so peaceful and comfortable that, despite the circumstances, we all slept really well.  Breakfast was at a large table in the tasteful dining room and featured local produce, homemade bread & amazing jam – the only danger is you might not have enough room for the bread & jam so do leave some tiny space..

Deb and Phil couldn’t have been more welcoming and although this is a fairly new project they have achieved an enormous amount and the standard is extremely high….. they were always friendly and available but never intrusive and we would give them at least 10 stars…..

Two wonderful hosts. The moment you entered the Manor warmth encircled you! It has style in abundance. Debs is one of those who you felt you have known all your life, Phil as well. It’s more than a b&b, so many pluses, it’s home from home.

“We must have been one of the first guests at this fabulous new B&B near Romsey.
Debbie and Phil, the owners, have a beautiful home and how wonderful of them to share it.
Our room, which overlooked the garden on two sides, was worthy of any country house hotel and of a higher standard than any B&B we’ve stayed in before. The half-tester bed made us feel very grand. The attention to detail, quality, taste and style throughout this historic manor house is a credit to the owners.  Let’s hope next time we can get in because once this has been discovered we’ll have to book early!”
